The Region of the Peloponnese organized a special event in London, where Prefect, Petros Tatoulis, presented the touristic product of the Peloponnese to tour operators and many journalists.
The Prefect characterized the Peloponnese as a safe destination and talked about its endless natural beauties, while he referred particularly to the development of infrastructure and access to the region, presenting specific data, which constitute crucial factors for tourism activity development.
The English author, Victoria Hislop, and the Ambassador of Greece in London, Konstantinos Bikas, attended the event. Tatoulis pointed out the Peloponnesian hospitality, as well as alternative types of tourism the region can offer. He stressed the rich historical and cultural reserve and talked about the quality and certified products of the region, as well as its special gastronomy and Mediterranean cuisine.
The Greek Ambassador Bikas referred to the Peloponnese as a destination able to excite visitors with its beauties and pointed out that British citizens have a timeless increased interest in holidays in the Peloponnese.
Hislop talked about her experiences during her visits to Greece and said that she is particularly excited with the Peloponnese and its beauties.
The event included gastronomic delicacies of the region accompanied with exceptional Peloponnesian wines.
